Covid-19 Update: June’s Shoppe to reopen in Wynyard on Tuesday 26th May

We are excited to announce that June’s Shoppe café will reopen in Wynyard tomorrow, Tuesday 26th May 2020.

This is the first Applejack venue to reopen and we have ensured that all strict social distancing and health protocols have been adhered to.

June’s Shoppe will operate from 7am – 3pm Monday to Fridays ongoing, offering big smiles with breakfast and lunch to take away from the happy hole in the wall in Sydney’s mid-town precinct.

Join us for your morning coffee and grab a hot or cold brekkie to start your day (naughty croissants also available, and we won’t judge!). From 11:30am a delightful lunch will be available including sandwiches, rolls, toppers, bowls and hot soup. Our baristas will be pouring our popular Gabriel coffee, which you can enjoy alongside a selection of premium teas, cold pressed juices, kombucha, coconut water and soft drinks.

June’s Shoppe is located at 60 Carrington Street, just around the corner from the Wynyard bus depot and George Street, on the corner of Wynyard Street and Wynyard Lane.

Covid-19 Update: NSW Government announces 50-person dining rule from 1 June.

The NSW State Government announced today that restaurants, cafes and pubs will be allowed to welcome up to 50 diners at a time from 1st June 2020.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced the “big and critical” step for the state, but said very strict rules would be in place for venues:

  • Venues will still have to allow at least four-square metres of space per person.
  • Additionally, bookings of more than 10 people will be banned, and patrons won’t be allowed to stand.

Applejack are thrilled with this step forward and are working hard to bring our reopening dates forward. The exact dates that we’ll reopen Applejack restaurants are yet to be finalised, but our first restaurant will reopen around mid-late June.

We are preparing the venues to adhere to the strict social distancing guidelines and during the next few weeks as we prepare to reopen, we’ll be busy restocking our fridges with fresh produce, getting staff back in venues, ensuring tables are a safe distance apart, organising our reservation process and implementing a new contactless menu viewing and ordering system, which all takes time to roll out after a full close down.

We’ll be staggering the reopening dates of our venues in order to stay financially stable and will release which venues will open on what dates as soon as it’s confirmed.

We cannot wait to have our wonderful staff back in venues and hosting our guests again, stay tuned for more updates soon.
