Applejack was a Proud Partner of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras 2026

Applejack is proudly celebrating over a decade of active support for Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) and the broader LGBTQIA+ community, demonstrating our enduring commitment to inclusion and diversity.

We celebrated the 2026 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras festival across our Sydney pubs, restaurants and bars. From bottomless brunches hosted by fabulous Queens to parade day parties, food and drink specials, and bucket loads of glitter, we brought the rainbow to Sydney.

We partnered with Archie Rose, the official gin partner of Mardi Gras 2026, to create some seriously special cocktails. On 9th February, seven expert bartenders from our venues competed in our annual Mardi Gras Cocktail Competition, crafting unique Archie Rose cocktails inspired by the 2026 theme ‘Ecstatica’. These cocktails were available across all our venues, with $1 from every cocktail donated to Qtopia Sydney.

Qtopia Sydney  is the world’s largest centre for queer history and culture. They explore queer history from the earliest Indigenous experiences to today through interactive storytelling and inclusiveness – celebrating, commemorating and educating people through exhibitions, performances and programs.

Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras is one of the oldest continuously operating LGBTQIA+ organisations in Australia, and we are proud to be supporting the festival.
