How Applejack Celebrated Mardi Gras 2022

Celebrating Mardi Gras 2022 with Applejack at Forrester’s & The Butler.

This year we celebrated Mardi Gras with an array of fabulous events across Sydney!

We hosted two bottomless ‘Dine with a Queen’ events, splashed some sparkle onto Victoria Street with a new wall mural at The Butler, were hosts of an official Mardi Gras viewing party event, and topped things off by sipping on signature Absolut cocktails all week long. Dine With A Queen Bottomless Lunches

2022 was the inaugural year of Applejack’s ‘Dine With A Queen’ bottomless lunches. With our incredible resident Queen, Millenia Alcox, we hosted extravagant events at The Forrester’s and The Butler Potts Point in collaboration with Oxtravaganza and The Glittering Mile. Guests, sang along to their favourite gay anthems as they sipped on bottomless bubbles, mimosas and rosé, all the while indulging in a special Mardi Gras feast.

The Butler Wall Mural

In addition to the festivities, the very talented Sarah McCloskey worked her magic to transform the outside of The Butler with a special Mardi Gras wall mural. Providing Potts Point with photo-op perfection for Mardi Gras! The mural will be live until the end of March so there is still time to get a photo.

Mardi Gras Parade Viewing Event

Rounding off the celebrations, we finished with a bang, by playing host to an official Mardi Gras viewing party upstairs at Forrester’s. Guests came dressed in their loudest and proudest attire. There were rainbows, glitter, and glam as they partied their way into the evening while watching the parade live-streamed on our big screens and live entertainment and prizes from our fabulous host, ‘Sydney Drag Royalty’s’ Hannah Conda.

Cocktail Specials

Our Pride cocktail specials were flying over the bar during the two-week celebration! Thank you to everyone who gave them a whirl. We are proud to support the LBGQTI+ community, and $1 from every Pride cocktail sold has been donated to Mardi Gras. If you missed a taste don’t fret, you can still follow our recipe and make one (or a few) at home!
